A certificate of workers' compensation insurance is required before a licensed contractor can purchase a permit or renew your license, unless the business has no employees. If the business has no employees a Rejection of Coverage form must be completed, filed and approved by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Division of Workers' Compensation. The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Division of Workers' Compensation approval must be submitted to Pikes Peak Regional Building Department before you can renew your license.
